Initial Impressions – ATL Good Trouble Corona

Appearance: 92

“The wrapper is strikingly rustic and toothy, enveloping a sturdy vitola and finished with a triple-seam cap.” – ()

Aroma: 88

“Sweet tobacco and leaves on the body, followed by only leaves on the foot.” – (irratebass)

First Third
– Blind Cigar Review

First Third

Flavor: 89
Strength: Medium
Body/Complexity: Medium-Full

“The pre-light: Earthy, with hints of oak and peanuts. Comments: Upfront there are scores of creamy caramel sweetness backed by a slight papery taste and hints of pepper. Some notes of toast, cedar, and slight hints of leather develop while this cigar remains on the caramel-sweet side of the fence.” – ()

“The first third is a pepper bomb. Usually, pepper bombs aren’t my cup of tea but this one is hitting my palate a bit differently. The spice is actually tingling my tongue, mixed with the grassy notes makes for a good start. The flavors build into a grassy, vegetal forward flavor.” – (Brad W.)

Second Third
– Blind Cigar Review

Second Third

Flavor: 88
Strength: Medium
Body/Complexity: Medium-Full

“The pepper notes settle down at this point, which makes me a little sad. Things transition to a primarily roasted coffee profile which comes off as a 180 being a fairly common profile.” – (Unpossible_1)

“The cigar is performing flawlessly into the second third, the dime stacking ash was still hanging on. The wood and coffee notes diminished but led into an earth note while still having a syrup and pepper finish. The draw opened up nicely to finish out the second third.” – ()

Final Third
– Blind Cigar Review

Final Third

Flavor: 90
Strength: Medium
Body/Complexity: Medium-Full

“Final third rounds this little powerhouse out real well as the cigar seemed to mellow out about 25%. Earth, earth, earth, and pepper are the notes on this final third.” – (Brad W.)

“Fortunately for me, the cigar takes a couple of left turns, and the final third leads me to some delicious smoky poblanos. A little bit of that heat and smoked goodness that is one of my favorite peppers to use in cooking. The retrohale amplifies this to an eleven, because it’s one more than ten.” – (Unpossible_1)

Overall Impressions – ATL Good Trouble Corona

Draw: 90

“Very good draw with the v-cut. Plenty of smoke that did not heat up on me and offered me little resistance.” – (irratebass)

Burn: 95

“The burn was unattended and the ash “stacked dimes” throughout the smoke.” – (Brad W.)

Construction: 96

“This cigar was expertly rolled, with zero issues with the burn or smoking experience, and the ash, a salt and pepper grey, held tight until almost the final third.” – ()

Overall Strength: Medium
Overall Body/Complexity: Medium-Full
Experience Overall: 93

“Very nice cigar from start to finish. Great burn, great construction, nice notes of hay, coffee, wood, and earth.” – ()

“Overall I am not a fan of those peppery, powerful nicotine buzzers. You know, the My Father’s and HVCs. The ones that make you feel like you’re licking a peppercorn. However, this cigar did it right. I enjoyed the earthy, leafy, and vegetal notes I kept getting. Made for a great switch up on my palate.” – (Brad W.)

“A serviceable , this cigar meshed caramel sweetness with a pleasant baking spice with a complex enough profile to leave me feeling satisfied. Excellently made and consistent throughout, I’d highly recommend this cigar for anyone seeking a medium-bodied smoke.” – ()

“Overall this was a good cigar. Plenty of sweet tobacco flavors as well as some licorice and nut flavors. The only flavor that surprised me was the must with the retro. Even though the cigar didn’t offer many flavor transitions I did enjoy this cigar quite a bit. I would definitely smoke it again.” – (irratebass)

“Getting a new experience like how this cigar began, can obviously be good or bad and in this case, it was great. At first, I was a bit bummed that it shifted to a traditional profile, but that was a perfect way to transition to something I love for the end. Between the tingle, coffee, and smoky heat, this was quite a treat.” – (Unpossible_1)
