I first heard about Graphic Humidors through twitter, BMP was their first follower. Josh was quick to contact us to see if we wanted to review his product, so I checked out the website and it seemed like a pretty cool idea, so I gladly agreed. They offer a wide array of pre-designed humidors in a decar-lined cylinder that holds 4-6 cigars at a time, or you can send them a design of your own, which I did.
Look and Feel
When the humidor arrived, I was pleasantly surprised by its appearance, it looked even better in person than the pictures on the website. The quality of the product is very good. The design is actually fused with the coating, not just a layer underneath, in a seamless layer giving it a very quality look. The main body and lid are solid metal, giving you plenty of protection from jarring and crushing.
Function
It functions very well as a protective travel humidor, but it has its limitations. It works very well if you have your cigars still in the cellophane and want to bring a handful with you, this way they don’t move around too much and if they do, the cello absorbs most of the movement. However, if you have your cigars naked, or just want to bring one or two, they will move around too much during transporting and damage. This problem is easily solved with some spare humidor foam like you get in a traveldor, but it’s something you would have to get separately or maybe they could start including it with the humidor. I’m sure there are many other ways you could keep them from moving around, this was just mine. I also took out the provided small circular pipe humidifier and replaced it with a 69% boveda as I would with any humidor. It held a steady 69% the whole time, so it definitely has a good seal.
Overall
Overall I really like this product, and will definitely be bringing it with me to herfs and the golf course as it will be a conversation starter and provide function. I would definitely recommend these as a gift, as I don’t know anyone that wouldn’t want a personalized travel humidor, or get one for yourself. There are a few tweaks that can easily be made to get it to how I like it, but this is far outweighed by its awesomeness. Thanks again to Josh for sending us this sample to review.
