Amendola Family Cigar Co. has announced two more cigars in their Signature Cannoli Series: Cannoli Green and Cannoli White. These are the final two releases in the Signature Cannoli Series which started with the Cannoli Red in December of 2020. The three colors in the series represent the colors of the Italian flag; that combined with the name Cannoli are an homage the Italian American heritage of Amendola Family Cigar Co.
Jeffrey Amendola and Christopher Monaco created the Cannoli Series based around their own lifestyle. The Cannoli Series are described as dessert cigars and pair well with coffee or after dinner drinks. Jeffrey, an experienced blender, and cigar roller created the blends along with Christopher and worked together with Erik Espinosa of La Zona Cigar Factory to roll the cigars.
The Signature Series Cannoli Green uses a Sumatra wrapper with all Nicaraguan binder and fillers. It comes in one size, a 5.5 x 42 corona and sells for $9.00. It is described as full flavor and medium to full bodied.
Signature Series Cannoli White uses an Ecuadorian shade grown Connecticut wrapper and is described as mild to medium in strength and body. The White Cannoli was created as the perfect coffee paired cigar. The Cannoli White also comes in one vitola, a 5.5×42 corona and sells for $9:00.
Signature Series Cannoli Red came out in December 2020 and uses a Mexican San Andres wrapper with Nicaraguan binder and fillers. It is described as full in flavor, body, and strength. It comes in the same size and price point as the other two.
The Cannoli Series is a special project for Jeffrey and me. We made a promise to incorporate our Italian American heritage into every blend we create.
Christopher Monaco Principal of Amendola Family Cigar
Jeffrey Amendola, a proud New York native, launched Amendola Family Cigar Co. in 2017, but his tobacco journey began in 2010. In his previous profession as a police officer, Jeffrey became immersed in what started as a cigar hobby. His passion for cigars grew and traveled to Ybor Cigar in 2012. There he learned to blend and roll premium cigars under the direction of Odelma Matos. In 2011, his blending and rolling education led to opening a small factory and tobacconist shop in Durham, N.C. In his mind the next logical step was to create his own brand, named in honor of what he cherishes most, family.
Amendola Cigars was established in 2017. First generation cigar blender and roller Jeffrey Amendola combined his passion for cigars with his Italian family heritage to create Amendola Cigars. Together with business partner and best friend, Christopher Monaco, Amendola Cigars boast a series of cigar brands that proudly represent their Italian American heritage.
