Black Label Trading Company has announced that they have started shipping the 2022 alotment of Morphine to select retailers. Morphine is rolled in Esteli, Nicaragua at Fabrica Oveja Negra. This is the first time Morphine has been offered since 2020, but has been an annual release up until since 2014.
I really missed not having Morphine around last year. That was the first time since 2014 that we’ve not released it. I believe this year might be one of the best vintages so far. I’m most excited about bringing back one of my favorite vitolas, the 5×54 Robusto box press torpedo. The Robusto has the dual San Andrés & Ecuadorian Maduro wrappers, while the Corona Gorda and Lancero are full San Andrés wrapper.

The Corona Gorda and Lancero sizes use a Mexican San Andrés wrapper, while the Robusto Torpedo Box Press uses dual San Andrés and Ecuadorian maduro wrappers. The rest of the blend consists of Nicaraguan binder, and fillers from Nicaragua. It comes in three sizes: Corona Gorda – 5.5 x 48 (20 count) MSRP $11.00, Robusto Torpedo Box Press – 5 x 54 (20 count) MSRP $11.50, and Lancero – 7.25 x 42 (20 count) MSRP $12.00.
