Blind Cigar Review: Bespoke | Super Belicoso Initial Impressions

Appearance: 91

“Belicoso in shape with a closed foot. Quite a bigger rg than I am used to. It had a light brown wrapper which is firmly packed with a few veins and seams. ” –Mickey T. (irratebass)

Aroma: 90

“Aroma is very sweet picking up vanilla smoke and wood. Sounds more like a bourbon review than a cigar review. A lot of butter is present also in the aroma.” –Ryan H. (Ryan H.)

First Third

Flavor: 93
Strength: Medium
Body/Complexity: Light-Medium

“Prelight is sweet, floral herbaceous. Initial flavor blast on lighting is full of sweet creamy leather.
Twenty minutes in there is still a lot of leather happening with sweet spicy undercurrents. Pretty mild on the retrohale with more herbal notes apparent. Nice chewy, rich smoke. ” –John I. (John I.)

“Off the slowly roasted light up I am greeted with flavors of wood, peanut, cream, and a bit of black pepper, effortless retrohale, super smooth sailing. Half an inch in creamy delicious clouds of smoke add leathery sweetness to the fray. A very relaxing aromatic smoking experience. ” –John A. (Bostoneo)

Flavor: 93
Strength: Medium
Body/Complexity: Medium

“Round two of deliciousness begins with a bit more aggressive (medium) black pepper notes alongside leather, cream, freshly sawed wood. Halfway through this third, creamy sweet leather with a pinch of black pepper returns and takes me to the end. ” –John A. (Bostoneo)

“More wood is prominent and the retro gives me walnuts with marshmallow. ” –Mickey T. (irratebass)

“By the last third pepper and cream is all that is left. Burn has been wonderful, draw like i said was phenomenal. A very nice stick, and interest all started with an odd choice of vitola” –Ryan H. (Ryan H.)

“The last third provides ample leather and black pepper with a medium bodied experience. Coming in one inch from the end, the body intensifies into full with a dominate charred wood, burnt sugar, and syrupy black espresso. ” –John A. (Bostoneo)

“I loved the draw, in my opinion it is a very hard thing to get right, and there was nothing wrong with this draw.” –Ryan H. (Ryan H.)

Burn: 93

“I also loved the burn. No touch ups required.” –Ryan H. (Ryan H.)

Construction: 97

“Construction was phenomenal with about an inch of ash. ” –Mickey T. (irratebass)

“This was a nice cigar with lots of tea, wood flavors and a bit of cream. The ring gauge was a bit bigger than I care for, but it would make a nice morning smoke. ” –Mickey T. (irratebass)

“Enjoyed this a lot despite the fact that I’m not a fan of big ring smokes. Flavor profile was a bit one dimensional, but if you’re a fan a really sweet tobacco this ones for you. The additional herbal and leather components are present for portions of this smoke as well, and are displayed nicely. This would be really accessible for a novice cigar smoker but still an enjoyable option for a veteran.” –John I. (John I.)

“This was a supremely flavored smoked with plenty of variations and flavor notes that gave me a very relaxing experience; I only wish it wasn’t so large! Definitely recommend giving this big guy a chance as you may fall in love, especially if there are smaller size options. Two thumbs up!!” –John A. (Bostoneo)

“I would smoke this cigar again no questions asked.” –Ryan H. (Ryan H.)
