"Bold and well balanced. There were some nice shifts, and enough complexity to keep it interesting through the end. I could easily smoke this again, though I would go for a little more food in the stomach, as it was fairly strong by the end." -Chris M. (Chris)
Espinosa Premium Cigars has announced a collaboration with restaurateur, Emmy Award-winning TV host and cigar smoker, Guy Fieri, to make his own line of cigars, Knuckle Sandwich. This new line will come in two different blends, one with a Habano wrapper and one with a dark Sumatra wrapper (maduro). According to a press release, the project has been 18 months in the making. It is a regular production cigar.
Earlier in the year, Espinosa Cigars decided to make their planned November in-person La Zona Palooza 2020 event virtual due to COVID, similar to 2020. Now, the company feels like it could not have delivered the kind of virtual event they would have liked and have instead oped to move the entire thing to March of 2022 and have it in-person.
Espinosa Premium Cigars has announced that their planned La Zona Palooza Event scheduled for November will be virtual due to COVID-19 concerns. The company released this statement:
"This cigar was a real treat. Exceptional flavors throughout, with subtle transitions. Even at the end of the final third, flavors were still a delight, with no heat or bitterness. I would smoke this cigar over and over." -Randy B. (randobush)
"A perfect cigar! This beautiful box-pressed cigar with a chocolate wrapper makes this a cigar worth enjoying. Notes of chocolate, oak, and black pepper make me want another one. A cigar you'd want for your humidor. Pick up a few or a box, and let the pleasure begin." -Sean F. (fullermaine)
As a part of The Great Smoke 2022 event taking place in February, a number of special exclusive release cigars will be sold. One of these is another collaboration between Espinosa Cigars and Cigar Dojo, Diet Sarsaparilla. This is a sequel of sorts to the original Sensei's Sensational Sarsaparilla that was released 2014. Sassy, for short, made a comeback in 2016 with Sensei’s Sensational Sarsaparilla II, or Sassy II and then was released nationally again this year at the PCA show.
"While not for my palate this blend would be great for those who enjoy a nice spiced tea. Spicy cinnamon and floral notes but to me the bitter flavor was overwhelming. " -Lauren S. (Lauren S.)

"This was likely the most challenging overall rating I've had to give since joining the team. The middle third was simply one of the best 30 minutes of cigar I've smoked this year. The unique, potent, balanced flavors were playing in perfect harmony and every puff somehow seemed to improve upon its predecessor. Unfortunately the first and final third underwhelmed. They certainly weren't bad, just subtle to the point of unnoticeable. So, would I smoke this again? 100% yes. In fact I'm dying to know: was the middle third an anomaly? Was the burn line issue a one-off? If there's even the slimmest chance I could experience, for a full 90 minutes, what I experienced at the halfway transition mark, I'd dedicate an entire shelf in my cabinet to these beauties." -Vance T. (Vance)

"I'm very conflicted. The burn required constant attention and more relights than I cared to count. The flavors were very good though and I found the profile shifted though out in engaging ways. I would smoke this again to see if the construction issues were a fluke but I would be wary of purchase if the price was high. " -Alan (Eulogy)
