“This cigar delivers a classic experience perfectly. The flavors shifted in interesting ways keeping me engaged, the construction make it an effortless experience, and the quality of smoke was rich and creamy. I’d pick up a box and smoke this any time. ” -Alan (Eulogy)

Every year we put together a list of our Top 25 Cigars of the Year. Our list is a bit different from some other lists, it is not simply a rehashing of our top scores from the year, or one person’s opinion. We gave each of our panelists 10 votes to cast how they please for what they enjoyed the most in 2019. The order of their votes matter, so their #1 pick is worth twice as much as #10. The cigars do not have to have been reviewed by Blind Man’s Puff, but the panelist must have smoked it.

“This was an interesting cigar. I started out mild/medium and kept ramping up in strength were it even caused a bit of a nicotine buzz. The main flavor component was wood & spice, there was a nice floral and cream on the retro in the beginning then turned to more spice, until the final third which brought heavy cinnamon on the retro very unusual. ” -Mickey T. (irratebass)

“I really enjoyed this cigar. It had just enough transitions to keep me interested and just kept getting better as I went along. There was a lot of creamy coco, brown sugar, leather, hay, and woodiness notes that all worked together in a really nice way. I would suggest trying one for yourself. ” -Jeff (ExpendableYouth)

“I really enjoyed this cigar. So much sweet cream throughout with a great progression of spice building up. I was impressed by the appearance and smell even before lighting this cigar and it delivered a wonderful and relaxing experience. Would strongly recommend if the price allows. ” -David F. (dfafjf)

This cigar carried a bit more strength than I expected based on previous cigars from HVC. It has darker flavors which would make me lean towards smoking it in the evening or as a final cigar of a multi-cigar smoking experience. There weren’t many transitions, but that is OK as the cigars flavors were good. I wouldn’t recommend this cigar to a new smoker, but rather someone that is interested in strength along with flavors of earthiness, coffee and wood.

“To be honest, I was completely surprised by this cigar. First impressions can sometimes be deceiving. This is not a very good looking stick, and the first third started off pretty slow, but the constant flavor transitions and strong overall performance of the cigar more than made up for that. At the end of it all, I enjoyed the stick quite a bit and would gladly smoke it again in the future.” -Dave (mdwest)

“The cigar provides a very easy and pleasant experience. There is not much to think about and in the same vein I wish I did! The complexity is quite lacking with a very unilateral leather and tobacco profile. I will do this one again but probably will not go out looking for one.” -Sandeep (Djangos)
