"For a Connecticut shade cigar, this was fairly enjoyable. There weren't any flavor transitions to speak of but the salted nuts and butter worked well together. Very mild in strength but it would make a good morning cigar or a cigar to start your day with. Coffee might overpower the flavors in this but I can see it being enjoyed with a milder coffee or chai tea. It didn't wow me but my palate tends to enjoy the darker stronger cigars." -Kevin J. ·"The combination of salted nuts, butter, white pepper, and peanuts really sets this cigar apart from other mild cigars. Mild in strength but full of flavor. I would highly recommend this to any cigar lover. A perfect morning cigar or really any time of day cigar. Would love to see how this pairs with a Chai tea or a lighter roasted coffee." -Kevin J. (maninblack77)
"A great cigar for those that like coffee. Impeccable construction with a nice even burn and mellow smoke throughout the experience. The initial sweetness prepares the palate to accept the bitterness that coffee brings." -Jai P. (Jai)
"There are some that would call this your grandfather's Connecticut cigar. I personally am not a fan of that flavor profile but I know the majority of the smoking community are. So this would be a winner for the fan of a cigar that is heavy on the cedar, vegetal, and pepper notes. This could make a great everyday cigar for that fan base and should find a home in many humidors." -Estevan Z. (TheRealBanzi)
"I really enjoyed this cigar. The vitola was perfect for me and the flavors were quite nice. I enjoyed the baking notes mixed with the wood and the butter and cream made this a smooth cigar for me. I didn't miss having any pepper or hot spices mixed in. This is a cigar I could smoke any time of the day and thoroughly relax without having to keep an eye on the burn while enjoying the subtle complexity of the flavors." -Diana (ArmyRN)
"Wow, this cigar was incredible. Lots of creams, some roasted nuts, and butter flavors, but the winning flavors were the white and black pepper that intertwined and really brought out that one element that the cigar was missing... this happened in the second third. This cigar hit all the right points for me. You can smoke this any time of day. I am curious to see how it pairs with my favorite spirits... no worries because I will be buying a box of these!" -Mickey T. (irratebass)
"I was quite pleased with this cigar. Visually it was striking, while construction held up just as well as the looks. Then you take in the profile it offers and I really don't have much to complain about here. Who doesn't love a bit of sweetness in their cigar? Add in some citrus and twang and now I'm a happy camper. Have I ever mentioned that I enjoy a good box-press? Well I do and so should you....check out this cigar that is." -Doug S. (Unpossible_1)
"I really enjoyed this cigar. While there was nothing earth-shattering about the flavor profile or the way it smoked, it was a great representative of a shade-grown cigar. Gone are the days when grabbing a Connie means smoking air and nothing much more. This is a very enjoyable, flavor-forward cigar. This would be an ideal first cigar of the day." -Kevin A. (Kevin A.)
Camacho (owned by Davidoff) has announced a follow-up to last year's Camacho Factory Unleashed, which scored a 93 in our blind testing: Camacho Factory Unleashed 2. This new version will come wrapped in a Ecuadorian Connecticut shade wrapper, contrasted with the original's Ecuadorian Corojo.
"I really enjoyed this cigar and definitely would smoke it again. To me this would be a very good morning cigar or paired later in the day with a nice scotch or light bourbon. Decent smoke output, great flavors and excellent construction were the norm for this one." -James H. (Keikan Jim)
