Altadis U.S.A. announced today the H. Upmann 1844 Añejo. It joins the rest of the recently repackaged 1844 line and will have the same look and feel as the recently updated 1844 Reserve and 1844 Vintage Cameroon.
The company describes the H. Upmann 1844 Añejo as medium to full-bodied and the blend uses tobacco from Nicaragua, Honduras and the Dominican Republic. It comes in boxes of 25 and three vitolas: 54 x 6 Toro, 50 x 5 Robusto and 60 x 6 Magnum. The MSRP will go from $7.10 to $8.10 per cigar. The cigar was blended by Ernesto Kranwinkel from Tabacalera USA Product Capability coordinated with the Grupo De Maestros from Flor De Copan in Honduras where it is rolled.
“Anchored by a sweet Broadleaf binder and wrapped in a dark, double-fermented wrapper, this cigar offers a deep aroma with a bold finish,” said Rafael Nodal, Head of Product Capability, Tabacalera USA.
