Cigar News: Altadis U.S.A. Announces H. Upmann Herman’s Batch Altadis U.S.A. announced today a new cigar honoring the H. Upmann brand’s founder Herman Upmann. The new cigar is called H. Upmann Herman’s Batch. This new cigar ships late November.

This bank grew into one of the most successful in the island due to Herman’s business wits and manners. From there, Herman and his younger brother took that success and turned it into a cigar brand, known at H. Upmann.

Upmann Herman’s Batch blend uses an Ecuadorian Habano wrapper aged for four years that has gone through a double fermentation process. It has a Dominican binder, and Domincian and Nicaragua Condega and Esteli filler, The cigars are rolled at Tabacalera de Garcia in the Dominican Republic and feature a pigtail cap.
