Altadis U.S.A. announced today that the H. Upmann Nicaragua by AJ Fernandez like would be adding an extension: Finca La Lilia 2009. This new blend uses tobacco from the La Lilia farm, named after the grandmother of AJ Fernandez. The crop used was planted in 2009.
The rest of the blend uses an Ecuadorian Sumatra wrapper, Nicaraguan Corojo 99 binder, and Nicaraguan Criollo 98 and Dominican Piloto Cubano fillers.
The production for this cigar is 75,000 cigars. The Sumatra wrapper used is said to be darker the the regular line and specially selected fro this blend. The H. Upmann Nicaragua by AJ Fernandez Finca La Lilia 2009 comes in boxes of 20 cigars, the cigar itself measure 6 x 60. MSRP is set to $12 per cigar.
