Blind Cigar Review: Diesel | Whiskey Row Robusto

“The flavors never changed from beginning to end but it was a pretty unique experience in terms of flavor. There’s only a few cigars that remind me of that sort of fermented grain flavor of beer and that’s what I tasted from start to finish. The smoke output and construction were spot on and it’s hard to find fault with anything. If you the taste of beer this might be something to try.” -Alan (Eulogy)

Blind Cigar Review: AJ Fernandez | Días De Gloria Short Churchill

“Overall this was a good cigar. That’s about it….it was good. There were hints of cream, sweetness, orange?? Cotton candy?? Cedar, wood and coffee….I kind of wished the weird flavors of cotton candy and orange stayed around longer so I don’t feel like it was my imagination. ” -Mickey T. (irratebass)

Blind Cigar Review: La Gran Llave | Connecticut Robusto

“This was a fantastic cigar. There was a lot going on with it. It was very creamy with cedar notes along with a sugary sweetness that lingered on my lips and to top that off there was a yeast doughnut flavor on the retro! C’mon! Pick up a box now! I just know this would have paired wonderfully with a cup of coffee on a Sunday morning. ” -Mickey T. (irratebass)

“I enjoyed this cigar, it was mild enough to be enjoyed as your 1st cigar of the day with some coffee. There were enough transitions to hold my attention with cream, cedar and some cinnamon. ” -Mickey T. (irratebass)

Blind Cigar Review: Hoyo | La Amistad by AJ Fernandez Robusto

“Overall this was a good smoke. I think this would not be a good first cigar of the day, but if you had a full day of smoking this would be a nice 2nd or 3rd stick of the day. Just beware it does pick up the spice in the final 1/3rd and through the whole 2nd third, but becomes a nice pleasant smoke at the end.” -Mickey T. (irratebass)

Quick Cigar Review: AJ Fernandez Enclave Broadleaf Robusto Score 93%

Quick Cigar Review: AJ Fernandez Enclave Broadleaf Robusto

This was an excellent cigar, really a solid broadleaf. I am surprised how much this didn’t taste like the regular Enclave, but broadleaf does tend to take over the flavor of a cigar when wrapped. The draw was snug but very good and the burn was average. I would put this as one of the better broadleaf offerings of AJ Fernandez, which is saying a lot because he makes a lot. I’m excited to see how these score in blind review, and I would suggest trying them when it comes out.

Blind Cigar Review: A.J. Fernandez | Last Call

“Overall, this is a very good cigar that will only benefit with a little more humidor time, say 3-6 months. I think this cigar might incorporate an Ecuadorian wrapper, due to the flavor profile (grass) however with its rosado shade it has me second guessing myself. I would easily recommend this cigar to a cigar newbie (on a full stomach) or a seasoned cigar enthusiast. This is a smoke I hope to get the chance to reach for again and again.” -Matt C. (Big Matt)
