Robert Holt of Southern Draw today announced a line extension to his Rose of Sharon: Rose of Sharon Desert Rose. This new cigar will be shown off at the 2019 IPCPR trade show and convention.
This new blend uses an Ecuadorian cloud-grown Claro wrapper, Habano binder from Condega, Nicaraguan, and a new filler combination containing both Corojo 99 and Piloto Cubano ligeros from Honduras and the Dominican Republic. The Rose of Sharon Desert Rose is described as medium bodied and medium flavored, a little stronger than the original Rose of Sharon.
“Desert Rose, has a heartier wrapper and is a more robust version of our original blend, a symbol of the family as we stand our ground and confront the changing seasons and mounting challenges that we continue to encounter as we execute our mission of unity, charity and the service via this little brand,” says Sharon Holt.
Like all other Southern Draw cigars, the Rose of Sharon Desert Rose is rolled at A.J. Fernandez Cigar Co. It comes in one vitola: a box-ressed Belicoso Fino 5.5 x 52. Only 75,000 cigars will be made in 2019 with 150,000 made each year after this. Pricing is set at $11.99 per cigar. It begins shipping July.
