Crowed Heads has announced a new limited edition in the Mil Días line, Mil Días Marranitos E648 LE 2023. This marks the fifth installment of limited edition Mil Días cigars. The blend for Marranitos E648 uses the same binder and filler tobaccos as the original Mil Días, but like the Marranitos EL 2022, swaps the wrapper for an Ecuadorian Sumatra.
Marranitos E648 is a nod to the man behind Mil Dfas, Eradio Pichardo. I had another Marranitos release on the docket for 2023, and I asked Eradio what his favorite vitola was, which turned out to be a classic 6 1 /8″ x 48. Unfortunately, the second half of last year saw a lot of misconceptions and confusion surrounding the Mil Días brand, and as a result, we intentionally took our foot off the gas on expanding the line. The Mil Días Marranitos E648 is our way of saying that Mil Días is not changing, and that we are excited to continue working with Eradio Pichardo and his team at TacaNicsa.

Mil Días has been around since 2020 and contains four regular production vitolas. From a press release, “The brand language is an intersection of modern luxury and old world tradition. Mil Días is a brand where heritage converges with the future, blurring the lines between history and modern, Cuba and Central America.”
Production of Mil Días Marranitos E648 LE 2023 will be limited to 2,500 boxes of 12 for a total of 30,000 cigars. The line is now rolled at TacaNicsa in Esteli, Nicaragua, under the supervision of Eradio Pichardo. It was formerly made at Tabacalera Pichardo, now the Luciano Cigar Factory. Mil Días Marranitos E648 will have an MSRP $12.50 per cigar and will begin shipping in early April.
