Drew Estate has announced the return of their Smoke Inn Micro Blend, Pope of Greenwich Village. Smoke Inn‘s Micro Blend Series is a collection of collaborations between Smoke Inn‘s owner, Abe Dababneh, and the cigar industrie’s top manufacturers. The original Pope of Greenwich Village debuted 6 years ago and was the 10th entry in the series.
Working with Jonathan Drew and the folks at Drew Estate back in 2015 to create the Pope Of Greenwich Village was a milestone in Smoke Inn‘s history. It has been a fan favorite. I am elated to see this Smoke Inn Micro Blend return for the public to enjoy!
Abe Dababneh
Like all the other Micro Blends, Pope of Greenwich Village comes in one size a Short Lancero (6 x 40). The blend uses a Mexican San Andres wrapper, Connecticut Stalk-Cut Habano binder, and Brazilian Mata Fina and Nicaraguan fillers. The blend is described as an overall full-bodied smoking experience with notes of dark chocolate, earth, meat and a touch of spice.
‘Pope of Greenwich Village‘ was set in an Italian neighborhood in New York and brings us back to our NYC roots in a such a clever way. Like the movie, Pope is a character study that’s bold and unusual, as the flavor characteristics are enhanced by the smaller ring gauge. The Pope of Greenwich Village is a concept cigar which reminds us that the cigar business is not just business, it’s also a lot of fun.
