Ozgener Family Cigars has announced their second regular production cigar, Aramas. This follows their freshman release, Bosphorus. It will be shows off at the upcoming Tobacconists Association of America Trade Show, to be held March 26-30, at Casa de Campo, Dominican Republic.
The Aramas name was inspired by Mt. Ararat in Armenia, where it is also referred to as “Masis.” The brand name is a hybrid of ‘Ararat’ and ‘Masis.’ OFC Aramas follows-up the widely-acclaimed ‘Bosphorus’ brand, which has garnered not only a strong following, but high ratings and accolades, including two ’93’ ratings from Cigar Aficionado’s trade publication, Cigar Insider. Aramas is an homage to my father, Cano Ozgener, his penchant for hard work,
OFC Founder, Tim Ozgener
and his value for the relationships he cultivated in his lifetime. We worked with Ernesto (Perez-Carrillo) on Aramas to develop a dense, complex, and rich blend, that also retained impeccable balance. I’m extremely excited with the final product and looking forward to debuting Aramas at the TAA show next week.
The blend for OFC Aramas uses a Mexican San Andres wrapper, Ecuadorian Sumatra binder, and fillers from Nicaragua, Dominican Republic, and Connecticut (Broadleaf). The Aramas has four vitolas 5″ x 52, 5 1/2″ x 55, 6″ x 60, and a 6 1/4″ x 54 Torpedo). MSRP ranges between $12.75 and $15.75. The cigars are rolled at Tabacalera La Alianza, S.A., under the supervision of Ernesto Perez-Carrillo. OFC Aramas ship in April.
