"I feel like this cigar may have been a little young or ran into some issues during its aging. The opening has a strong sour flavor, and the finish is dry and chalky. It gave me classic signs of a young stick. While smokable, and I didn't have to put it down, the only flavor I could get between those two issues was a nice classic light earthy flavor. "I love this vitola and how they are a perfect winter cigar. There weren't really any big flavor transitions but the flavors hit my palate in the sweet spot. Loved the black coffee, leather, earth and spice this cigar presented me. I would definitely recommend this to full bodied smokers who only have 30 to 45 minutes to enjoy a cigar. "I wanted to really give high praise for this cigar. When doing a blind review and coming across something so familiar, it almost gets your hopes up too much. The anticipation and buildup can end up having the opposite effect of one you'd expect. Fortunately, this wasn't completely the case for me. Sure, there were some issues related to construction, but I do feel like it was able to overcome them and give me an experience I would not mind repeating. "I've got to say that this cigar worked for me. I admired it visually, and the profile combinations worked right into my wheelhouse. It was interesting for me, because I really did just find myself enjoying the session more than typical. If it wasn't for the fact that the cigar did burn quickly, I could have easily spent closer to three hours smoking it instead of the less than two hours it took. If you're a big fan of baking spices or cherry, I would highly suggest you check this one out. And if you end up not liking it, just send the rest my way to dispose of for you." -Doug S. "The flavor was slightly light and one note, but it was a nice sweet floral and cedar flavor. The cigar had a good creaminess until the final third, which transitioned into a heavy, bitter bite. "This was a very balanced smoke until the final third. It didn’t lose it completely, but the dark notes definitely took the spotlight in the end. I did enjoy the flavors throughout. Plenty of flavor shifts kept it interesting, which is good, because I got over an hour and a half out of a robusto. The smoke time alone is pretty impressive, and with the flavors, I feel quite satisfied. I would definitely smoke this again, probably even grab some for my stash.
