Favilli cigars announced today that it is ending operations in the cigar industry. The company was formerly known as Mombacho Cigars when it hit purchased the Favilli Mansion in Granada, Nicaragua and hit the cigar scene in the US in 2014. The company saw the resignation of their president and master blender, Claudio Sgroi, in 2021 and has had trouble recovering in the market ever since.
Fabien Ziegler has returned to the cigar industry. After spending 19 years with Drew Estate and departing form the company in 2019, Ziegler has been quiet in the cigar industry. Now, Favilli (formerly Mombacho) has announced a collaboration on a specialty series of brands with him. The project started as a result of the friendship between Ziegler and Jared Michaeli, President/Co-founder of Favilli.

As the name would suggest it comes with both coffee and cigars meant to be paired together. Ziegler spend 19 years with Drew Estate and departed form the company in 2019. He was quiet in the cigar industry until last month when the collaboration was announced.
Favilli (formerly Mombacho) has announced the release of "The Granada Line" in the U.S. This line includes three blends: Tierra, Isletas, and Lava. The line launched in Canada earlier this month. The newly created line includes Tierra, which is a rebranded version of the company's Tierra Volcan that has been in the U.S. market since 2014. There will be a total of 9 cigars in the new collection, with each of the three wrapper variations getting three sizes options.
