"Overall, a tasty cigar when you want something similar to a nice glass of bourbon. Mild-medium in body, this blend exemplifies tasty notes of vanilla, oak, and bourbon like sweetness. Easy to smoke from top to bottom, this is an easy recommendation for a well balanced smoke that can be enjoyed anytime without any reservations for a relaxing experience." -John A. (Bostoneo)
"My only wish is there was a wow factor with the cigar. While the flavors that were there were good and well represented what they should, there was never that "ah-ha" moment during the smoking experience making me wonder what goodness is going to come next. It was an enjoyable cigar, and one that I would smoke again" -Kevin A. (Kevin A.)

2020 Marks the five year anniversary of Black Label Trading Company's Bishops Blend. Instead of assigning a year to the release like other years, this is labeled as the 5 year anniversary. It is also coming in a new limited edition vitola to the line, lancero. The company says they are still making the other sizes, but they have been postponed. Black Label Trading Company cigars are rolled at Fabrica Oveja Negra in Esteli, Nicaragua.
"I was leery about the first third, hoping it may have some complexity of this blend, however i was delightfully surprised bu the last two thirds. A menagerie of roasted and tasty charred flavors intermingling with sweet caramel and chocolate flavors made this end up being two thumbs up for me! Paired with flawless appearance, construction and burn made it all the better. Top notch med-full bodied smoke!" -John A. (Bostoneo)
"I really enjoyed this cigar. Burned nice at a great pace with some wonderful Flavors. Starting with the pepper and earth which moved into the roasted nuts and bitter veggie flavors. While I was smoking this I had a glass of bourbon which paired nicely. The sweetness from my bourbon and the bitter roasted flavors from the cigar was excellent. I look forward to seeing what this was so I can pick up more." -Jake P. (Jake P.)
"On a grey, gloomy rainy Northern NY day, the kind that makes Eeyore on downers look like Richard Simmons on meth, I decided to take a break from the doldrums of watching my life pass me by, and throw on some Type O Negative, and light up this cigar known only to me as "1001." A nice looking cigar, brownie tannishy in color, typical of Connecticut wrappers, a pleasant smell of barn and tobacco. On the light up and first third, I got hints of lamb chops, BBQ oysters and diet Coke. Ok, maybe not. Cedar and white pepper were the dominant flavors through to the last third, wherein some leathery hints were thrown in. All in all, a good smoke, great construction, no burn issues, and thank goodness it didn't really taste like BBQ oysters. A good mild to medium smoke to be enjoyed with coffee I think, then again i haven't met a cigar yet that didn't go good with coffee. I wouldn't mind one of these for a good morning coffee, ease into the day, one, perhaps, that isn't doomy and gloomy as this day." -Joseph S. (Bearded Bastard)
"This is a cigar I really want to buy several boxes of. From start to finish it was a winner. Flavors were on point and complex. Construction was impeccable. I'd give this an 'Extraordinary'. Definitely multi box worthy." -Kevin J. (maninblack77)
"This cigar was just what I needed. With the coronavirus going on the cigar shops are closed, except for carry out and some are doing deliveries....which is a 1st I believe. Anyway this was the 1st day that was nice enough for me to spark up in my man cave *garage* and even though there wasn't many flavors on this cigar what I got was wood, some sweet tobacco and a bit of leather. The cigar still held up and didn't let me down......stay safe everyone this is the end of the world........if ya got em' smoke em'." -Mickey T. (irratebass)
"I feel the only downside to this cigar was the draw but because of how much flavor I got off cigar, it ended up not bothering me that much. I felt the second third was the best part of this cigar. Although it smoked fast, the flavor of slight pepper, salted pretzels and caramel was enjoyable. For a mild to medium cigar I though this was very flavorful. For me this would be a perfect cigar for a golf course." -Jake P. (Jake P.)
"Loved it, perfect way to wind down after a day of screaming kids and dealing with broken cars. I don't drink much so I compare flavors to what would pair well with my drink of choice which is coffee, and let me tell you, this was a perfect match. Only issue I had was, I wanted another. Great smoke, great experience." -Joseph S. (Bearded Bastard)
