Foundation Cigar Company has announced another brand for the upcoming PCA trade show in Las Vegas, METAPA. Inspired by the birth town of Rubén Darío, a legendary Nicaraguan poet, Metapa pays homage to Nicaragua's rich cultural heritage and the artistry behind its world-class cigars.
After launching a pre-release version of the cigar back in February of this year, Jake Wyatt is now prepping to release the regular production J.W. Maverick at this year's PCA trade show. There will be new sizes, including a Robusto (5x50) $9.00, Toro (6x54) $10.00 and a Box Pressed Gordo (6x60) $9.00, all coming in boxes of 22.
"If the draw was better I would be signing it praises. With this sample I found the profile to be excellent but the draw and size are a problem. It is a weird feeling to be almost an hour and a half into a cigar and only reach the halfway point. The flavors were good and there were enough profile transitions to keep me engaged though. I would smoke this again but I would have to block out a substantial amount of time to do so." -Alan (Eulogy)
