Cigar News: Terence Reilly Joins Casa Fernandez As VP of Sales And Marketing

Cigar News: Terence Reilly Joins Casa Fernandez As VP of Sales And Marketing Terence Reilly has returned to the cigar industry. The former national sales manager for Quesada Cigars has been hired by the Aganorsa/Casa Fernandez conglomerate as its new senior vice president in charge of sales and marketing. Reilly’s new position comes less than a month after he resigned from Quesada, where he worked for more than eight years.

“We believe that Terence will play a major role in bringing our company to the next level,” said Eduardo Fernandez, owner of Aganorsa/Casa Fernandez, in a statement. “We consider ourselves extremely fortunate to have him join us, and to help grow our company.”

Casa Fernandez is a Miami-based cigar company owned and operated by Eduardo Fernandez and his son Max Fernandez. The family also runs the Nicaraguan agricultural conglomerate Aganorsa, which is one of the largest growers and suppliers of tobacco for the premium cigar industry.

Although the Casa Fernandez brand is primarily made in Miami, the Fernandez’s Tabacos Valle De Jalapa S.A. (TABSA) factory in Nicaragua produces cigars for companies like Illusione, Warped Cigars and Foundation Cigar Co.

“I cannot tell you how excited I am to join the Casa Fernandez team,” Reilly said. “The Aganorsa/Casa Fernandez conglomerate has often been described as a sleeping giant and I look forward to helping the company reach its full potential.”

Reilly, who is a member of the Quesada family, joined Quesada Cigars in 2009. In his role as national sales manager, he was responsible for logistics, marketing and, more recently, FDA compliance. He was also instrumental in spearheading creative brands such as the Quesada Oktoberfest, Heisenberg, Domus Magnus and Fonseca Nicaragua.

Reilly will begin his new position at Aganorsa/Casa Fernandez on December 1.
