United Cigars is bringing back their limited edition United Cigar Bar after almost a decade of being off the shelves. This will be a part of an annual release under a new United Cigars Series Unidas collection. The United Cigar Bar was for sold in 2012 but was immediately removed from the market after receiving a cease and desist from the Hershey Corporation.
The idea behind the United Cigar Bar was to create a unique box-pressed cigar, sold in 3 pack “bars.” These new cigars will take an existing line that is normally round and box-press it just for this project. For 2021 United Cigars asked Julio R. Eiroa and his son Justo to use the Aladino Corojo.
The blend for this release is the same as the regular production Aladino Corojo aside from the box-press. It uses 100% authentic Corojo tobacco grown at the JRE farm in the Jamastran Valley of Honduras.
I was pleasantly surprised. This was a great experiment and it turned out better than I had imagined, I know Aladino fans will love it.
Justo Eiroa of JRE
The vitola for this project is a 6 x 50 toro. Each three pack of cigars will have an MSRP of $29.99 or $179.95 for a sleeve of 18 cigars. United Cigar Bars will ship in October.
Aladino was an obvious first choice for us. JRE makes some amazing cigars and we wanted to see what the Aladino would be like as a box-press.
