Initial Impressions
Appearance: 92
“This cigar had a great toothy wrapper that was greasier than bacon fresh off the skillet. It was paired with a soft pressing that just took it out of round. Hands down, it looked mouthwatering.” –Isaac M. (The Nothing)
Aroma: 91
“Chocolate, coffee and leather reveal itself to the nose while tobacco, honey, and cream are present on the palette with a cold draw.” –John A. (John A.)
First Third
Flavor: 91
Strength: Medium
Body/Complexity: Medium-Full
“Draw is wide open. Def a good spicy cigar that isnt overpowering. Setting at medium plus. Lots of things going on in the first third raw ginger is about the only thing i can pull out so far. Nearing the end of the first third the spice mellows along with strength. And leaves behind milk chocolate. Burn becomes a little encouragable.” –Ryan H. (Ryan H.)
“Loads of dark leather, black pepper, and char begin early on with a strange sourness coming in and out. The burn is very jagged and wavy and construction seems a bit squishy however by the end of this section it evens itself out. On the backend it begins to mellow out into an enjoyable creamy coffee chocolate concoction.” –John A. (John A.)
Second Third
Flavor: 89
Strength: Medium
Body/Complexity: Medium
“By the time the second third began, the sweetness was gone and the cigar maintained savory qualities. A hint of pepper spice begins to build but never gained much strength, there was just enough to know that it was present. ” –Isaac M. (The Nothing)
“The flavors are remaining well balanced. The nuts, nutmeg, and sage are still wonderful. The flavors have not tried ot out do each other but instead are complimentary. Still wonderful with a wonderful aroma. A cigar that brings on the feeling of Fall.” –Eric (smalls29)
Final Third
Flavor: 91
Strength: Medium-Strong
Body/Complexity: Medium-Full
“The cream becomes a little sweeter. I had thought the cigar ran out of steam, but it was able to redeem its self. The cigar ends with the same raw ginger spice in the first third” –Ryan H. (Ryan H.)
“To round out the final third, flavors of dark roasted coffee with a tiny bit of black pepper and leather satisfy the senses. Pepper intensifies the closer to the end with a milk stout flavor.” –John A. (John A.)
Overall Impressions
Draw: 92
“The draw was very open with tons of smoke output” –Ryan H. (Ryan H.)
Burn: 89
“A clean burn with a great chimney.” –Eric (smalls29)
Construction: 94
“This was a beautiful looking cigar, and that continued inside of the cigar, where it performed very well. The curiosity, though, is deep inside the cigar. While I didn’t see it at the foot, under the cap I found what appears to be a green, flue cured tobacco. I’m definitely more curious about this cigar because of that.” –Isaac M. (The Nothing)
Overall Strength: Medium-Strong
Overall Body/Complexity: Medium-Full
Experience Overall: 93
“There were some disapointing things about the cigar. But with the construction and draw and the consistency did make up for its short falls. I feel it could have been more interesting.” –Ryan H. (Ryan H.)
“This was an excellent cigar that I would be happy to stock in my humidor. The flavor profiles intermingled very well throughout the whole smoke. As I smoke this cigar further and further down the flavors just got more pronounced and delicious, great job!” –John A. (John A.)
“In the end, I found this cigar to be quite enjoyable, and it piqued my interest quite a bit. Out of the box, I was drawn to its appearance. While smoking, I always wanted more. The green tobacco at the core kept me questioning. In the end, I was saddened by how quickly the cigar smoked, it certainly seemed longer than my watch suggested, and I could use some more time with it.” –Isaac M. (The Nothing)
“Sadly this was a one dimensional smoke that wouldn’t stay lit. I only tasted wood out of it, when I could smoke it.” –Mickey T. (irratebass)
“This cigar began great and finished great. The nutty flavors with nutmeg and sage were balanced, wonderful and tasty. There was a nice balance throughout and the higlight was that it did not become sour or bitter in the end. It had a flavor that reminded me of a cigar I have purchased before but I cannot pin it down. It gave me great feeling of fall and is definitely one I would like to buy. Maybe a box of these.” –Eric (smalls29)
