Camacho Cigars showed off the Distillery Edition concept at the IPCPR 2019 trade show. This new line has three blends, Corojo, Ecuador, and Connecticut. Each takes their respective regular production blends and barrel-ages the corojo in the filler or binders for six months. All three blends come in the same size, a 6 x 50 toro, and are priced at $9.25. All were shown off at the 2019 IPCPR trade show.
This cigar was reviewed blind (no bands) by a panel of at least 4 reviewers. They did not know what they were smoking beforehand. The scores are an average of all the reviewers' scores with outliers removed. All of our cigars reviewed are shipped to the panelists with Boveda packs to ensure optimal smoking experience.

“On the cold draw there is cocoa powder, pistachio, and hint of white pepper. Very nice. First light, right off the bat, I found hay, cayenne, pistachio, light cocoa, hint of caramel, with a wee slight burn on the retrohale. Medium body, medium strength two minutes in, with an excellent draw and smoke output. Nice white ash, with a slight semi wonky burn 1” in, but looks like it will even itself out without touch-up.” –Randy B. (randobush)
“Once lit you’re met with copious amount of oily smoke. Sweet tobacco and earthy leather are found on the palate for the entirety of the third. These flavors are enhanced by lingering pepper spice in the sinuses as you retrohale it. Very one dimensional to start, IMO.” –Estevan Z. (TheRealBanzi)

“The flavors of this cigar finally open up. Anise forms the backbone of this third with a sprinkling of cedar and graham cracker. The leather has fallen to the background; as to has the pepper in the sinuses. It is replaced with that sweet tobacco note from the first third. “Coming into the final third the cracked pine has opened with a slight spiciness in the back of throat like cayenne pepper, but not over powering.The ash is becoming super flaky and the burn becoming very uneven with touches up needed all along. As the woodiness left, it has become more peppery from cayenne to black pepper on the mid part of my tongue.
