NEW PRODUCT RELEASE
Table 36 Cigars Spotlights New Boutique Cigar, “The Peacemaker,” at Annual Tobacco Trade Show
Table 36 Cigars has rolled out “The Peacemaker” for this year’s International Premium Cigar and Pipe Retailers show, their third boutique premium cigar line. It follows Table 36‘s Fellowship and Integrity brands, first appearing in 2012 and 2013, respectively.
The Peacemaker draws the eye immediately, with its bold, rustic appearance … the “exploded foot” reveals over an inch of unwrapped binder and filler leaves. “This is a bold statement for a young company,” states Table 36‘s co-founder, Will Blicharz (sounds like ‘it CHARS’). “It takes real skill and experience to roll a cigar whose barrel is tight right up to the transition between the rim of the wrapper and the emerging shaggy inner leaves. Luckily, the Danli, Honduras, factory of dark-tobacco giant Nestor Plasencia has perfected this process.”
The Peacemaker‘s toothy Nicaraguan wrapper adds fittingly to the cigars’ rustic theme. The binder is Brazilian Mata Fina, while the filler is a multi-region blend of Jamastran and Azacualpa tobaccos from Honduras, coupled with a Jalapa, Nicaragua, a strain known for its rich depth.
According to Blicharz, “The medium-bodied Peacemaker is especially complex and balanced. The predominant flavor note is nuttiness, with wood smokiness and other fleeting nuances that are especially hypnotic and appealing.” The cigars are entubado-bunched, to prevent irregular burns and hard draws, cigar smokers’ biggest complaints.
The Peacemaker comes in four shapes …. “The Bullet (4-1/4″ x 42), The .45 (5-1/2″ x 45), Tin Star (7″ x 43) and The Judge (6″ x 52). (The shaggy foot is not included in the cigars’ overall lengths.) In a departure from the usual Table 36 logo, the bands of The Peacemaker combine the number 36 with a Texas Ranger’s 5-pointed-star badge. The cigars are presented 20 to a rustic Spanish cedar box that reflects the Wild West motif. Manufacturer’s suggested retail pricing ranges from $4.95 to $7.25, and the cigars are now available from better tobacconists nationwide.. The Peacemaker, plus the company’s two other boutique cigars, Fellowship and Integrity, can be seen in the Table 36 IPCPR booth #3107.
