Cigar News: 7-20-4 Cigars Completes “Factory 57” Shipment

“Following its introduction at last July’s IPCPR trade show, we realized retailers’ orders had exceeded our initial production run,” states Kurt A. Kendall, 7-20-4 Cigars’ Founder and President. “Since we didn’t have enough extra-select, high-primed Jalapa (Nicaragua) wrapper leaf, we opted to fill as many pre-holiday orders by retailers as possible, and wait for the balance of this extraordinary leaf, before completing the shipments. The tobacco has now arrived, and we have shipped the balance of the Factory 57 cigars in all sizes … Corona, Robusto, Churchill and 6” x 60 Gordo.

Quick Cigar Review: Herrera Esteli | Norteno Lonsdale

This was an excellent cigar. I enjoyed all of the flavors, they were complex and balanced, and had enough transitions to make it different in each third. The burn and draw were flawless along with construction. The flavors were full while the strength was only a medium, just how I like ‘em. I will be asking for a box of these for Christmas. I give this a personal score of 94.

Blind Cigar Review: H. Upmann | The Banker Annuity

“I enjoyed this cigar. It’s milder than my typical smoke, and the blend really focuses on a natural sweet tobacco flavor. It’s a nice change from the earth and chocolate-heavy nicaraguans I tend to favor, and very different from the CC’s I prefer, being much “thinner” in body. While I would generally prefer the richness of a CC or the boldness of a Nicaraguan, this was an interesting change up for me, and one I enjoyed. Recommended for fans of milder smokes, or medium cigars with natural sweet tobacco core flavors like the El Triunfador.” -Derek (StogieNinja)

Blind Cigar Review: Viva Republica | Propaganda Five and a Half Truth

“I enjoyed this cigar. Though there were only a few flavors to taste, they were good ones. The evolution of the chocolate flavors were very appealing and I’m happy that it maintained that course instead of having too many things going on. A definite cold day smoke for me to enjoy with hot chocolate or a smooth coffee.” -Paul (pmr1010)

Blind Cigar Review: ted’s | Farris Robusto

“This was a very unique cigar, the flavors were ones I don’t normally pick up like vegetal and squash, but accompanied with more traditional ones like wood and nuts. I would definitely get some more of these, if nto just to have something different. I enjoyed it and would recommend it to others, I’m curious if time will smooth out the final third.” -Emmett (rhetorik)

Blind Cigar Review: Rocky Patel | Decade Cameroon Toro (Prerelease)

“This cigar fits perfectly into the casual smoke category for me. Something that I would enjoy either at a crowded event or when I am relaxing with a book or a movie. Somewhere that I wouldn’t want a complex and deep cigar that is begging for my attention. It was the kind of cigar where you probably aren’t going to run out and tell your buddies about it, but you are quite content to be smoking it.” -David (Cigar Memoir)

Blind Cigar Review: Charlie Toraño | Captiva Robusto

“Overall, this was a good cigar. If the pepper did not lodge in the back of my throat, I would have rated this cigar a notch higher. The pockets of perfume like floral notes, coffee and cream was excellent. I wish these notes held on throughout the cigar. The last third was a bit of a let down due to the lack of concentrated flavors as compared to the first and second third. If I was given the opportunity to smoke this again, I would hold onto it hoping age will cure the pepper.” -Jiunn (jliu)
