Blind Cigar Review: Toraño | Exodus Robusto (2016)

“This is a very good cigar that could be smoked after your son’s bar mitzvah or after you knock-out some asshole that drank you beer, I digress. Any cigar guy would enjoy this cigar as rich tobacco is very evident on the exhale and palate. The retro had a touch of sweetness that lingered with the cream and grass. That being said if you sit back and pay attention to this cigar you can pick up the nuances in this blend. This is a classic blend and I wouldn’t be surprised if the blender is a descendant of a family rich in tobacco and cigar culture. If the price is right, this premium cigar offering box-worthy.” -Matt C. (Big Matt)

Blind Cigar Review: Carlos Toraño | Vault TM-027 Robusto

“Transitions, complexity, nuance… It ain’t necessarily so with this cigar, but the flavor profile is solid and flavorful. Transitions don’t really come with this cigar but flavors are discernible and compatible. It is a good smoke for times when you want the good experience but don’t have to think hard about what the cigar is giving you.” -Matthew T. (A Huge Nerd)

Blind Cigar Review: Charlie Toraño | Captiva Robusto

“Overall, this was a good cigar. If the pepper did not lodge in the back of my throat, I would have rated this cigar a notch higher. The pockets of perfume like floral notes, coffee and cream was excellent. I wish these notes held on throughout the cigar. The last third was a bit of a let down due to the lack of concentrated flavors as compared to the first and second third. If I was given the opportunity to smoke this again, I would hold onto it hoping age will cure the pepper.” -Jiunn (jliu)
