Altadis U.S.A. launched the Omar Ortez brand in 2006 and is a value-focused Nicaraguan tobacco brand. Now, the line is getting a Connecticut version: Omar Ortez Connecticuts. The Ortez Family has been well known name in the cultivation and blending of Nicaraguan tobacco for over 40 years.

The new line will launch in and uses an Ecuadorian Connecticut wrapper with 100% Nicaraguan binder and fillers. This new Connecticut line joins the two existing lines: Omar Ortez Originals and Omar Ortez Maduros. Like those, the Omar Ortez Connecticuts will come in both 20 count and 60 count boxes in the following sizes: 54 x 5 Robusto, 54 x 6 Toro, and in a new 60 x 6 Magnum.
