Initial Impressions
Appearance: 92
“This looks to be a robusto in size. The cigar has a very dark wrapper. There are a few veins with no seams. ” –Mickey T. (irratebass)
Aroma: 93
“Aroma is a very pronounced cedar with a little must” –Ryan H. (Ryan H.)
First Third
Flavor: 94
Strength: Medium
Body/Complexity: Medium
“Draw is exstreamly tight might have to clip a little more, we will see. When first lit the cigar has a lonely flavor profile with only bakers chocolate. Within an inch this cigar comes to life becomes very complex and layered. Almost one by one flavors start to appear cayanne pepper leather. Strength is pretty close to full just as quickly as they appear the flavor profile lines are blurred into a muddy earth.” –Ryan H. (Ryan H.)
“Cold draw I’m getting lots of black pepper with some bread mixed in there. Very very tight draw starting out. I am picking up a sweet molasses flavor that just stays on the tongue, along with black pepper and coffee.” –Mickey T. (irratebass)
Second Third
Flavor: 90
Strength: Medium
Body/Complexity: Medium
“First touch up is required. Strength weakens some. Cayanne pepper disapears chocolate does as well. Notable transition to bitter oaky wood. A very interesting cigar. Second touch up required” –Ryan H. (Ryan H.)
“An enjoyable dry earthy spiciness with a lingering sweetness in the backend starts out a nice second third. Semi sweet chocolate enters the profile in the spiciness is toned down yet again.” –John A. (John A.)
Final Third
Flavor: 91
Strength: Medium-Strong
Body/Complexity: Medium
“Bittetness calms left with a balanced campfire the cigar ends with the same bakers chocolate it started with” –Ryan H. (Ryan H.)
“A strong wave of black pepper enters the final third. The dry roasted malty flavors return and lasting throughout the remainder of the cigar as it deepens in dark and delicious flavors.” –John A. (John A.)
Overall Impressions
Draw: 86
“The draw was exstreamly tight. Even after a second clip was under performing ” –Ryan H. (Ryan H.)
Burn: 87
“Burn was actually good I believe I only need one touch up/relight.” –Mickey T. (irratebass)
Construction: 94
“This Cigar looked good, drew good, and burned good….a trifecta of goodness” –Jason H. (Jokey Smurf)
Overall Strength: Medium-Strong
Overall Body/Complexity: Medium
Experience Overall: 90
“This was a very nice experience with almost pin point-able transitions. With some changes in the profile definitely kept my interest. Very rich and packed a punch initially.” –Ryan H. (Ryan H.)
“Overall this was a very good cigar. I would have liked to seen it get better as it smoked as the best part was the first half of the smoke. Toward the end the dark flavors muddled together and were indistinguishable for the most part. Not bad would definitely smoke again to get a second opinion.” –John A. (John A.)
“When I could draw smoke out of it, it was a good smoke. I got lots of molasses sweetness along with black pepper and later some dark earthy notes, without it really ramping up in strength . Even though I am rating it low due to the draw issues I would definitely smoke this one again.” –Mickey T. (irratebass)
“This Cigar hit all checkmarks for me and was a wonderful way to start the day. I’ll be glad to know what this is so I can buy a box!” –Jason H. (Jokey Smurf)
