Scandinavian Tobacco Group (STG), the parent company of General Cigar, Forged Cigar Company, and Cigars International, announced today that the company has agreed to acquire the Alec Bradley cigar business. The transaction is expected to close on or about February 28, 2023.
Alec & Bradley Rubin released the Blind Faith at the 2018 IPCPR trade show, their first release as an offshoot of the Alec Bradley brand. Today, they have announced that they will be expanding the distribution of this cigar, starting at Tobacco Plus Expo (TPE) in Las Vegas, NV- January 29-31.
Last year Alec & Bradley Rubin, sons of company founder Alan Rubin, released their first cigar on their own, Blind Faith. This year, they are releasing a followup, Gatekeeper.
Alec Bradley Cigar Co. announced today the addition of a 4 ½ X 60 size in the Magic Toast line named ‘Chunk’. This new size is a permanent addition. Magic Toast debused at the 2018 IPCPR trade show as mystery cigar with no information given until it was shown off, and only to attendees. The original sizes were Robusto, Toro and and Gordo.
Alec Bradley Cigar Co. is in the process of migrating their regular production cigars from 20 to 24-Count boxes with the new size starting to hit shelves at the PCA tradeshow in July.

Alec Bradley announced today that this years version of the Black Markey Filthy Hooligan, it's sixth, will have a tripple barber pole style. The cigar started off in its original form as an all-candela wrapper cigar, the became candela/maduro barber pole, now is candella/habano maduro/Jalapa barber pole.
"This cigar would have rated much higher in this this category if it were not for the final third. The bitterness that crept in in the final third took it down a few notches along with the work it took to keep it going. The first two thirds shined as bright as the morning sun.
