Altadis U.S.A. has announced a new version of their Onyx line, Onyx Bold Nicaragua. The original Onyx Reserve line was launched in 2001 and gained fame quickly with a high score in Cigar Aficionado. This new version is designed to be bolder, and is described as medium-to-full-bodied.
“The Onyx Bold is a much anticipated follow up to the award-winning Onyx Reserve, which boasted an impressive 94 cigar rating from Cigar Aficionado when it was first introduced,” said Rafael Nodal, Head of Product Capability for Tabacalera USA.
This new version comes in three sizes: 54 x 6 Toro $9.25; 50 x 5 Robusto $8.90; and a 60 x 6 $9.80. Onyx Bold Nicaragua is rolled at Tabacalera AJ Fernandez Cigars de Nicaragua S.A. and is blended with a San Andres wrapper, Nicaraguan wrapper, and Nicaraguan fillers. Rafal Nodal says the tobaccos in this cigar have been aged for over 4 years.
Onyx Bold Nicaragua comes in black boxes of 20 with highlights of silver and white that make a bold statement. These will ship August 2020.
