Today, Rocky Patel Premium Cigars (RPPC) announced a new brand the be debuted at the IPCPR trade show in Las Vegas, ALR. ALR stands for Aged, Limited, and Rare. This is the first in the series that plans to run for years to come. The project started three years ago when Rocky blended a special small batch cigar that he would only order a run of 100,000. He decided it would be a good cigars to age and this became the first Rocky Patel ALR.
“I remember in early 2015, there was this blend I kept coming back to” explained Patel, president and CEO of RPPC. “I was down in the factory working on new brands, and this one fulfilled an idea we had – maturing fully rolled cigars for greater complexity.”
This blend is rolled at Rocky Patel‘s TaviCusa factory in Estelí. The ALR will begin shipping in August and comes in three vitolas: Robusto (5 x 50) $13, Toro (6 x 52) $14, and Sixty (6 x 60) $15. All three come in boxes of 20 and 1,500 boxes of each were made. 20-count boxes totaling 1,500 boxes each.
