Rocky Patel Premium Cigars (RPPC) has announced a new cigar only available outside the United States. The Rocky Patel Grand Reserve will be displayed at this week’s InterTabac Cigar Show in Dortmund, Germany, and will ship in October.
Rocky Patel Grand Reserve is the first international-only brand that Rocky Patel has made. “Our distribution abroad has seen extensive growth over the last 10 years, and we wanted to honor these worldwide business partnerships with an exclusive brand that international retailers can call their own,” said Mark Weissenberger, Vice President of Marketing for RPPC.
The cigars is made in Nicaragua and uses tobaccos aged for two years. It will be available in three vitolas: Robusto (5 ½ x 50), Toro (6 x 52), and Sixty (6 x 60), all selling for between €9 and €11 per cigar and coming in 10-count boxes. Rocky Patel Grand Reserve began shipping to global distributors in mid-September. Shops in Austria, Germany and the Netherlands will receive their shipments first by mid-October.
This past April, a private launch event was held in Sölden, Austria, called Mountain On Fire. There, 300 boxes of Grand Reserve Toros were displayed at the special three-day luxury experience. Rocky Patel was in attendance with 120 guests from around the world, all celebrating the good life along with the launch of Grand Reserve. “The reception to this unique brand was overwhelming,” said Rocky. “Everyone at Mountain On Fire enjoyed this balanced, elegant, medium-bodied cigar. And we sold out of all 300 boxes that weekend! We can’t wait for the rest of the world now to try it.”
