Cigar News: Royal Agio Adding Two Lines to San Pedro de Macorís

Cigar News: Royal Agio Adding Two Lines to San Pedro de Macorís cigars announced today the addition of two new lines to the San Pedro de Macorís brand: and Sun Grown. San Pedro de Macorís is a value based line with prices in the $5 range. These new lines will be shown off at the 2019 TPE (Tobacco Products Expo).

The original two lines, Ecuador and Brazil, were released at the 2018 IPCPR show. The brand is named after San Pedro de Macorís, , the location of ‘s handmade cigar factory. The blend uses a high quality wrapper and binder with original Cuban seed Piloto Ligero filler.

From the handmade factory in the , Francisco Batista, Premium Cigar Master Blender, stated, “Like the blend releases last year, the San Pedro de Macorís and Sun Grown blends continue to directly reflect the local way of life in this small town, delivering extraordinary enjoyment for the money. Everything here is about creating the best everyday experiences possible, no matter what the occasion, and I proudly speak for the entire factory family when I tell you that these new blends will surprise you!”

The San Pedro de Macorís blend uses a Nicaraguan wrapper and the San Pedro de Macorís Sun Grown uses a sun-grown Ecuador wrapper. Both offer a medium bodied smoking experience.  All San Pedro de Macorís blends come in 20-count boxes and three vitolas – Perla 4 1/8 x 40 (MSRP $4.75), Corona 5 7/8 x 42 (MSRP $5.00) and Robusto 5 1/8 x 52 (MSRP $5.50). These new blends will ship to U.S. retailers in early April, 2019.
