Royal Agio Cigars USA is releasing another extension to its Balmoral Añejo XO line: Balmoral Añejo XO Nicaragua. It will be shown off at IPCPR at the end of the month. Last year, the company added Balmoral Añejo XO Connecticut and Balmoral Añejo XO Oscuro. All three join the original release Balmoral Añejo XO from back in 2015. All blends are said to only use the top 5% of select premium tobaccos available and include the exclusive Brazilian Mata Norte leaf.
Boris Wintermans, 4th Generation CEO of Royal Agio Cigars says, “The new Añejo XO Nicaragua is a special blend that has been in development for quite some time because, as usual, we wanted to ensure that we had the perfect combination of unique and exclusive, aged premium tobaccos that would make this Nicaragua blend truly stand out. Our curious approach to blending has once again led us to an exceptional, one-of-a-kind discovery sure to delight cigar lovers everywhere.”
The Balmoral Añejo XO Nicaragua blend uses a sun-grown Nicaraguan Habano wrapper and is rolled at the Royal Agio cigar factory in San Pedro de Macorís, Dominican Republic. It comes in the same 5 vitolas as the regular production other lines: Torpedo Mk52 6 ¼ x 52 (MSRP $11.25), Gran Toro 6 x 52 (MSRP $10.50), Rothschild Masivo 5 x 55 (MSRP $9.75), Corona 5 7/8 x 42 (MSRP $9.00) and Petit Robusto FT (Flagtail) 4 ¼ x 48 (MSRP $8.50). The cigars ship August, 2019.
