The newly formed company, The Forged Cigar Company, owned by STG (parent company of General Cigar), recently announced that they will be selling the El Rey Del Mundo brand starting February. The Forged Cigar Company cigars will be sold only at brick and mortar shops.
El Rey Del Mundo was previously exclisive to JR Cigars and Santa Clara Wholesale and was a top-selling brand for more than 20 years. The cigars are rolled at Scandinavian Tobacco Group’s HATSA factory in Honduras. El Rey Del Mundo comes in two blends: a natural version with an Ecuadoran Sumatra wrapper and a Connecticut Broadleaf-wrapped maduro, each uses a Honduran-grown binder and filler. El Rey Del Mundo will launch with one natural and five maduro blends. Under The Forged Cigar Company, El Rey Del Mundo will come in six sizes:
