PRESS RELEASE
For Immediate Release – The Tail of THE FIRECRACKER CIGAR
Salem, New Hampshire (April 9, 2016) It began on May 19, 2007 at a cigar rolling event at Two Guys Smoke Shop in New Hampshire featuring Jose Don “Pepin” Garcia. David Garofalo, owner and founder of Two Guys Smoke Shop asked Pepin to roll him a short cigar and to put a long pig tail on it. Pepin followed the direction
and The Firecracker Cigar was born.
Over the years limited releases of The Firecracker Cigars were made and most commonly released near the 4th of July and made by various cigar manufacturers. Past Firecracker Cigars include Don Pepin and Tatuaje
(M80) at My Fathers Cigar Factory, Jose Dominguez, Iconic Leaf, at Leyendas Cubanas and La Flor
Dominicana. The next Firecracker will be a limited release for 2016 and as usual it will be released just before
the 4th of July. This year’s production will be The CroMagnon Firecracker from RoMa Craft Tobac out of
the Nica Sueno factory in Esteli Nicaragua.
The CroMagnon Firecracker will measure 3.5” x 50, using a U.S. Connecticut Broadleaf Maduro Wrapper. It is
expected to be full bodied and full flavored. There will be just 200 boxes made with 20 Firecracker Cigars in
each box all adorning the CroMagnon name.
The CroMagnon contains a long-filler, full-bodied blend of some of the world’s most sought after tobaccos. The
filler leaf for this blend was acquired from three separate growing regions in Nicaragua: Esteli, Condega and a
small farm north of Esteli on the Honduran border. This third leaf, a ligero, will bring a strong, smoky, savory
flavor to the blend. When combined with the sweet characteristics of the broadleaf maduro wrapper, and the
exotic bite of the Cameroon binder and the clean finish of its viso and seco companions, the blend is expected
to deliver deep rich tobacco flavors present in the CroMagnon line.
Prices for the 2016 CroMagnon Firecracker are expected to be $119.99 per box of 20 and available only at
Two Guys Smoke Shop sometime in late June or early July.
