Oveja Negra Brands has announced that Cynn & Joshua Coburn have take ownership of the Dissident Cigar brand. The two are described as “cigar industry marketing veterans, authors, motivational speakers and serial entrepreneurs.” A press release continued: “Dissident Cigars and its revolutionary branding will toss tradition aside and bring grit, attitude, and a dash of rebellion to the cigar world. The Coburn’s long lived unconventional thinking and middle finger to conformity will give rise to new and creative limited-edition cigars in 2022 and beyond!”
The company says that the core line of cigars will not be changed while at the same time moving the limited edition Rant, Rave, and Tirade into the core line.
“We are all dissidents in some way, and we love to bring that to the forefront of our lives! It’s nothing to be ashamed of. In fact, we celebrate it.”

A reason was not given for the departure of Ben Holt, the previous owner of the brand. All of his and the brand social media account were taken down over the last months. Before Holt, the brand was owned and started by “gweedo c” and “red_ryan.”
