J.C. Newman Cigar Co. unveils The American All-Star Humidor, shipping to U.S. premium cigar retailers. Crafted from the 2011 NBA All-Star Game court, this officially licensed product is part of the NBA Reclaimed program.
The humidor, an ode to American basketball, features all six sides made from the authentic floor of the 2011 NBA All-Star Game. Each humidor, limited to 40 due to wood scarcity, is a unique masterpiece, showcasing the court’s scuffs and scratches from legendary players. Jason LeGear handcrafted each humidor in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, incorporating pieces of the blue three-point line on the lid.
Drew Newman, the fourth-generation owner, expresses the company’s privilege in celebrating basketball history: “Running your fingers over the top of this humidor, you can feel its history.”
Each humidor, priced at $3,000, includes 30 exclusive The American All-Star cigars, a 6.5” x 50 size of J.C. Newman‘s award-winning The American cigar brand. Hand-rolled in Tampa, Florida, with 100% heirloom American tobaccos, these cigars pay homage to basketball legends.
Newman shares the distribution plan: “Of the 40 humidors, I am shipping 37 to U.S. premium cigar retailers, sending one to the NBA, and adding one to our El Reloj cigar museum collection. I am holding the last humidor in case Michael Jordan calls.”
The 2011 NBA All-Star Game, played at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, featured a Western Conference victory with Kobe Bryant named Most Valuable Player. The humidor captures this historic event, adding another layer to the legacy of American basketball.
