The original Antaño 1970 was launched in 2001, and was a Nicaraguan puro unlike any before it. Now only was it one of the strongest cigars ever made at the time, it showed the world the strong character and essence of Nicaraguan tobaccos.

Since then, Antaño has gone on to become one of the most recognizable Nicaraguan cigars. The brand has also seen many line extensions including the Antaño Dark Corojo, Antaño Gran Reserva and the . There are over 20 vitolas spanning the Antaño line.

The came out in 2019 and was a more subtle, yet still bold version of the classic cigar. The blend uses an Ecuadorian Shade wrapper, while still incorporating the classic Antaño Nicaraguan binder and filler tobaccos.
