La Gloria Cubana Brings Back Corojo de Oro for 2024 – Cigar News

La Gloria Cubana has announced the release of its 2024 edition of the Corojo de Oro, a limited-edition cigar that initially launched in 2023. The blend is particularly notable for its use of a proprietary tobacco hybrid known as Corojo de Oro, which was developed by the brand’s agronomists in the Dominican Republic. This tobacco is the result of crossing Corojo 97-98 with the rare Pelo de Oro, forming the binder of this unique cigar.

The blend is completed with a rich Ecuadorian Habano wrapper and filler tobaccos from Brazil, the Dominican Republic, and Nicaragua, giving the cigar a medium-bodied profile with flavors of earth, cedar, citrus, and white pepper.

In creating a new tobacco varietal, our artisans developed Corojo de Oro to be a distinctive cigar that is unlike any other blend. This cigar is one of those rare finds, and it’s one that delivers on its promise of providing an extraordinary smoking experience.

The cigars, adorned with an art deco-inspired band and housed in elegant wood-toned boxes, are handcrafted at the El Credito Cigar Factory and were made available to retailers starting February 2. The Toro size, measuring 6 inches by 50 ring gauge, is priced at $10.49 per cigar. The specific number of boxes released has not been disclosed.
