This cigar, featuring a Mexican San Andres wrapper and Nicaraguan binder and fillers, has been crafted to meet Stefan 's specifications for a full-bodied and flavorful experience. The scores are an average of all the reviewers' scores with outliers removed. All of our cigars reviewed are shipped to the panelists with Boveda packs to ensure optimal smoking experience.

Following the Edición Azul and Rojo, the Edicion Morado is also rolled at Fábrica AGROTABACOS in . The cigar were launched in Robusto and sizes, with an MSRP of $14.00 and $15.00 respectively, and a Short Robusto that came out later that year.

Initial Impressions – Lampert 1675 Edición Morado Toro

Appearance: 93

“The wrapper on this is a deep, oily, dark chocolate brown. There is a good amount of tooth upon closer inspection. A couple of prominent veins, but a really nice-looking leaf overall. It looks like a large, well-placed double cap up top.” – (Chris)

Aroma: 93

“There is very little aroma off the foot or wrapper, only the slightest hint of milk chocolate.” – ()

First Third
– Blind Cigar Review

First Third

Flavor: 89
Strength: Medium
Body/Complexity: Medium

“Right off the light, I get dry earth, oak, and heavy black pepper up front. More flavor than spice from the pepper. Beneath that, dark chocolate, unsweetened cream, and a smooth nuttiness. Everything evens out fairly quickly. Around an inch in, I start to get a light honeysuckle sweetness.” – (Chris)

“The bitter tea notes that come through upon lighting are still lingering in this portion of the cigar.” – (fullermaine)

Second Third
– Blind Cigar Review

Second Third

Flavor: 93
Strength: Medium
Body/Complexity: Medium

“Milk chocolate and wood are still in the second third with a finish of cedar oil. Toward the end of the second third the floral reappears and is combined with cream.” – (Stogie Sister)

“The mesquite wood flavor takes over in the second third, along with a touch of hickory smokiness, especially on the retrohale. While not overly complex, the flavor is solid and prominent now.”- ()

Final Third
– Blind Cigar Review

Final Third

Flavor: 89
Strength: Medium
Body/Complexity: Medium

“The last third was the same as the second third with milk chocolate, wood, cedar oil, floral, and cream.” – (Stogie Sister)

“The black pepper picks back up, with a little more spice this time. Dry earth, creamy cashew and cocoa powder mix up top with it. Oak, caramel and the light roast coffee aren't far behind. A bit of cayenne heat joins with just over an inch left.” – (Chris)

Overall Impressions – Lampert 1675 Edición Morado Toro

Draw: 94

“The draw was slightly tighter than I preferred, and I occasionally had to work to get a good mouthful of smoke.” – ()

Burn: 98

“Even burn throughout this cigar that the ash fell off on its own.” – (fullermaine)

Construction: 93

“Not much attention was needed getting through this one. Pretty decent smoke production despite the draw being a little loose.” – (Chris)

Overall Strength: Medium
Overall Body/Complexity: Medium
Experience Overall: 91

“While not having any major transitions, I believe this cigar would be great for those who want to try something with more of a body without a lot of pepper spice or strength.” – (Stogie Sister)

“A great noon-time cigar. Nice mixture of notes. Notes that include cinnamon, cedar, bitter tea, dark cherry, and hickory. Perfect appearance, construction, burn, and draw. I'd seek this cigar out at my local shop. Great cigar to have in your humidor or to share with friends.” – (fullermaine)

“Though this cigar was darker noted, there was enough sweetness to balance the profile pretty well. The transitions were smooth and sensible, and there was a decent amount of complexity. I could see myself picking up a handful of these to rotate in. Overall an enjoyable smoking experience.” – (Chris)

“Overall, this was a mostly enjoyable but not very complex cigar. The mix of mesquite and hickory flavors was enjoyable but almost one note. The ending, turning a bit metallic, left a bad final taste on the palate that somewhat ruined the overall experience.
The cigar was forgettable, good, but nothing special.” – ()
