Maya Selva Cigars has announced the Tasting Experience: a single box containing 10 cigars rolled more than a decade ago and 10 cigars of the same kind rolled last year.
Ten years ago, Maya Selva predicted a market for premium new world cigars and producers that would guarantee the aging process of their brands. To fill this need, the company set aside thousands of cigars from a variety of vitolas and stored them in their warehouse. Each vitola in its own space under carefully controlled conditions of temperature, humidity, and light.
Now, the company is giving its customers a chance to see how their blends change and hopefully improve over time with their special edition featuring ten Flor de Selva Nº15 cigars rolled in 2012, and ten more rolled in 2022. The company suggests customers smoke the cigars back to back, in order to experience how the tobaccos have blended over time.
The cigars will be available exclusively in the United States in September. The blend for the cigars uses a Connecticut wrapper from Honduras, Jamastrán binder, and filller from Honduras. The cigars come packed in 20-count boxes. The viota N°15 measures – 5½ x 54 and the box set has an MSRP of $395.00 for 20 cigars.
