"The flavors on the cigar were interesting and complex from the get-go. While the strength never passed a solid medium the taste was a journey starting with a sweet floral beginning into the more spicy cedar middle followed by a super complex end with nuts and pepper. The ash and burn were pretty much perfect. My only real complaint was how fast it smoked timing in at just over an hour. "Fairly one dimensional with a flavor profile hovering around sweet and leathery. All of that was nice enough, but definitely a milder cigar than I generally prefer. ·"This was a cigar that wanted to battle. Whether it was the issues with burn, or the amount of strength it offered, it kept my on my toes. The entire time I smoked it, I kept being brought back to my early years of cigars and the one cigar is reminds me of more than anything is a Liga Privada. The strength, the flavors, and that massive smoke output is right in line with it. It took me back to those days of getting knocked on my rear, surrounded by smoke. "Really enjoyed this cigar. Fairly potent with a lot of sweetness. By the finale there were some rich coffee notes to go along with the world tour of sweets. I don't typically select belicosos as I find there is a tendency for the wrapper to unravel at inopportune moments, but this well crafted cigar never even hinted at such concerns. " -John I. "This is another cigar that hits my profile perfectly. A deep chocolatey Maduro with savory flavors and a lot of spice. The nicotine definitely picks up in the final third so you do have to watch out for that a bit, but as long as you are prepared this is a stellar blend. My only complaint is the fact it actually smoked faster than I expected at 2 and a half hours, and would not hold an ash for anything. I do admit I have a pretty good idea what this cigar is since Maduro Presidente cigars are pretty rare, but I have never had a chance to smoke it before." -Lauren S. (Lauren S.)
