Initial Impressions

Appearance: 91

“A meaty chunk of a cigar with a relatively veinless exterior and a decent, but not fantastic cap. If I were to describe the color, it would be a Colorado.” – (Jack_H)

Aroma: 92

“Healthy helping of coffee and leather aromas up front, with a tantalizing peppery tobacco bringing up the rear.” – (shuckins)

First Third

Flavor: 90
Strength: Medium
Body/Complexity: Medium-Full

“Woodsy tasting with a touch of heat from the peppery tobacco on light up. This was followed closely with a dark coffee flavor partnered with a bit of leather that brought a tasty creaminess to the front with it.” – (shuckins)

“First third starts with mainly cocoa powder followed by cedar, thin notes of semi-sweet cream and faint white pepper (although the white pepper is intensified through the retrohale). About an inch in, the sweet cream is more prevalent. Body and strength is at a solid medium.” – (jliu)

Second Third

Blind Cigar Review: |

Flavor: 89
Strength: Medium
Body/Complexity: Medium

“There is a noticeable change in flavor. I get more chocolate, nutty and almost toffee like a candy bar. Not to alarm, it is in no way sweet like some flavored cigar, there is some richness overall. Burn is a bit uneven, but nothing to worry about.” – (Jack_H)

“The cigar continues to produce an amazing amount of smoke. There is still a lot of spice, especially on the retrohale, but it is a good mixture of spices and not one overpowering type. It does leave that thick creamy feeling in the mouth and on the tongue also.” – (SosaCub4Life)

Final Third

Blind Cigar Review: |

Flavor: 89
Strength: Medium-Strong
Body/Complexity: Medium

“Smooth smoking the entire time, although more wood flavor joined the tobacco, which still had enough pepper with it to keep things kicking along nicely as it neared the end. The coffee and leather mix kept up its appearance and continued to bring as much smoothness as the peppery wood allowed.” – (shuckins)

“Entering into the final third, the smoke continues to mellow and smooth and now all harshness or edginess that was experienced early on is gone. The profile pretty much remains the same from the second third with no detectible changes.” – (mdwest)

Overall Impressions

Draw: 94

“First third’s draw was a tad on the tighter side, but second third through the end, the draw was perfect.” – (jliu)

Burn: 93

“The cigar maintained a sharp, clean burn line and consistent combustion from beginning to end, requiring zero touch ups.” – (mdwest)

Construction: 95

“No issues at all with construction. The cigar was very well made. Good draw and perfect burn.” – (SosaCub4Life)

“I’m not normally a fan of the “jaw breaker” size cigars, but this one delivered well rounded, tasty flavors, so I would smoke another one.” – (shuckins)

“This would make a nice cigar for a day on the golf course. Flavors were pretty basic and lacked any “wow” factor, but the blend was nice and well balanced. Construction was top notch, and zero maintenance or attention was required to keep the stick burning properly. I would gladly revisit again in the future.” – (mdwest)

“I found this to be a steady eddy type of cigar. Nothing foul, nothing great. Just good consistent flavors of namely cocoa powder, cedar and sweet cream. I find most cigars to be in this steady eddy category. I won’t refuse to smoke this cigar if given to me but I will not spend my hard earned money on it.” – (jliu)

“I like almost everything about this cigar. It was different in all three phases, but the same notes were present in each part. They could each stand alone, but when smoked together, it was a great progression. I will smoke this cigar again, I just need to find out what it is first!” – (Jack_H)

“Overall, this was a very well made cigar. The flavors for me didn’t change much throughout the smoke, but yet were still enjoyable. The mixture of spices stayed throughout the entire smoke and it was a nice creamy experience.” – (SosaCub4Life)
