Blind Cigar Review: Crowned Heads | La Imperiosa Magicos

“This cigar was a nice mix of a dark wrapper with nice smooth subtle flavors that aren’t always typical of a cigar with this dark and oily of an exterior. I enjoyed the quick transitions and the way this cigar changed completely from the beginning to the end. It was a small cigar and a bit of a quick burner, but something I can see as 5 pack worthy.” -Jack (Jack_H)

Blind Cigar Review: Warped | El Oso Cub

“Excellent cigar. Although not in my typical flavor wheelhouse, I appreciate a rich and powerful cigar. This will be great to smoke a couple of after a grilled fatty steak (like a bone in ribeye). This will probably also hold very well to whiskey, cutting some of the chili bite. I’d seek out a fiver.” -Jiunn (jliu)

Blind Cigar Review: Nomad | Therapy Habano Toro

“Two words that would aptly describe this cigar would be Solid and Smooth. This is the embodiment of both. I say this would be the perfect cigar for a beginner, but not as an insult or slander, but because it is so well constructed and approachable. This is a great cigar and one that I can’t wait to see what it is because it has me stumped.” -Jack (Jack_H)

Blind Cigar Review: Cubanacan | Mederos Oscuro Fifty 3

“I enjoyed this cigar. I’m starting to become more a fan of the torpedo shape and although this seemed to start out a little harsh, the flavors came to the forefront and stole the show. I would recommend this cigar for those aficionados who wish to have changing complexities throughout his smoke.” -Kent (Throck)

Blind Cigar Review: ACME | Premier San Andreas Robusto

“This cigar offered some nice rich flavors while allowing a near perfect balance of more delicate ones to shine. The yeastiness of fresh bread with some occasional chocolate, coffee and baking spices kept the cigar interesting. Cedar and leather also played a key roll. The only downside was the harshness that developed near the end.” -Gregg (McGreggor57)

Editorial: Rocky Mountain Cigar Festival – 2015

The Rocky Mountain Cigar festival is always a great event with good people, and awesome vendors. It has been growing steadily since it’s inception in 2011. Unfortunately I was deathly ill last year and wasn’t able to attend and see the new venue. This year I was feeling great and ready to smoke, and it didn’t disappoint. Joined by our panelist Jack, we conquered almost the entire festival.
