Blind Cigar Review: Pura Soul | Maduro Robusto

“With all the different things going on in this blend, there is a unity that is achieved here that is rare in cigar blending. While I was not blown away by this cigar, I was satisfied with the expectations I had based on its stellar appearance. I normally go for really chocolatey, rich cigars. And this was definitely rich in flavor, just in different ways than I am used to. I know it sounds ridiculous to describe a cigar as “smoky” but the flavors taste like they were fresh off the grill. There were also no real touch-ups to speak of. I would definitely smoke this again. Age and a good stout would both be great for this stick.” -Ryan (Youngryan216)

Blind Cigar Review: Foundation | The Tabernacle Toro

“It’s been a while since I had a cigar that I felt was truly extraordinary, and that dry spell has been broken! This cigar is firmly in my wheelhouse in all areas. The flavors were deep and meaty, the performance excellent, and the strength was just enough to pair with any meal or beverage that I’d want to enjoy it with. This probably isn’t something I’d push off on a new smoker, but really…I liked it so much that I’d be hard pressed to share it with anyone. Can’t wait for the reveal on this!” -Jason H. Blind Cigar Review: Crux | du Connoisseur No. 2

“I really liked this cigar. My only complaints were the somewhat muddy flavors of the final third and the stick’s overall average smoke production. The flavors of this smoke were very well-blended and played off of one another really well. I really liked the sweetness in the flavor profile because it was never cloying or ordinary — always buttressed by cedar and toast. The performance of this lancero was surprisingly stellar. With a medium strength and perfectly complex body, this stick would pair well with a sweet tea after lunch, or, because of the cigar’s slightly-sweet profile, a fresh vanilla milkshake.” -Ryan (Youngryan216)

Blind Cigar Review: Mbombay | Gaaja

“The first few thirds of of this cigar were light and what I would call harmonious. This cigar feels like it was blended for those with lighter tastes. While I liked some things about this stick, I disliked the wrapper’s frailty and the muddy, final third of the experience. This would be a good stick with coffee in the morning.” -Ryan (Youngryan216)
