Quick Cigar Review: Caldwell | Hit & Run Part Deux Almost Churchill Score 92%

Quick Cigar Review: Caldwell | Hit & Run Part Deux Almost Churchill

From the first third to the final third I really enjoyed this cigar. If I could smoke all cigars in this format I would be a happy fella as lonsdale is typically my favorite size in any cigar this is just a slightly thicker lonsdale coming in at a 6 1/4 x 48. The cigar had a consistent profile from beginning to end but I thoroughly enjoyed the smoking experience. I would probably rate this cigar a bit higher if it had a bit more of a wow factor but I would be happy to have boxes of these.

Quick Cigar Review: Don Lino Africa | Robusto

While I have never smoked the original Don Lino I have seen them in catalogs etc. but I can’t make any comparisons. I did enjoy this cigar but it’s not in my top 5 cigars that come from Miami Cigar and Company. The creaminess at the end really brought this cigar home and I do recommend picking up a fiver at the very least.

Quick Cigar Review: H. Upmann | 175th Anniversary Score 94%

Quick Cigar Review: H. Upmann | 175th Anniversary

When I was looking through the humidor of my local shop the H. Upmann 175th stood out like a shining star. I am always a sucker for Churchill sized cigars and while I rarely find time to fully enjoy one but when I do it’s always a treat. The cigar was well constructed and required no touch ups through the entire 1 hour and 45 minutes of smoking time. The ash held on in large chunks throughout the cigar. The second third hands down was my favorite as I was getting those cream soda notes which I usually don’t experience. Hands down would buy a box of these.

Quick Cigar Review: La Aurora | 115th Anniversary Limited Edition Belicoso

I had high expectations going into this cigar with it being the 115th anniversary and all the hype over the last year.   I have to say it did not disappoint as I enjoyed the flavor profile from beginning to end.  I had to touch up the burn once or twice but overall it performed outstandingly.   While the cigar is on the pricey side I would happily light up another given the chance.   Highly recommend this cigar.

Quick Cigar Review: Davidoff | Winston Churchill Limited Edition 2019 The Traveller

This cigar really surprised me with the flavors going on. It started out with wintergreen mixed with cinnamon then it transitioned into wood, chocolate and finally honey. The burn and construction were both excellent, I mean c’mon it’s Davidoff you pay for what you get. This was a very good smoke if you have the money and feel like treating yourself I highly recommend it.

Quick Cigar Review: Diamond Crown | Julius Caeser 1895 Perfecto

This cigar while the first two thirds had a similar profile this for sure wasn’t a bad thing.   Enjoyed this cigar from beginning to end and always happy for that next puff.    I have smoked plenty of the Julius Caesar in other sizes and have to say this perfecto was a treat.   If you have a Diamond Crown lounge near you pick one up!

Quick Cigar Review: Davidoff | Winston Churchill The Late Hour Churchill

This cigar performed like a champ. No touch ups required during the entire experience and I got tons of flavor. I have smoked this cigar in other sizes and hands down the Churchill is my favorite. I do find the Toro to have a bit more pepper but overall I can smoke these over and over.   Recommend this cigar to anyone.

Quick Cigar Review: Dunbarton T&T | Muestra de Saka Unicorn

While the Diademas size was amazing I always find them a struggle with construction, burn, etc. This cigar from a construction point of view was on point. The burn was great, and the cigar smoked perfectly. Would I spend $100 on this cigar if it was regular production? Of course not. Definitely a treat to smoke and I was happy to get the chance. I give this a score of 93.

Blind Cigar Review: Diesel | Grind (2017) Robusto

“Pretty solid effort. A really darkly attractive cigar with big rich flavors in the earthy/woody range with some interesting side notes of herbs and spices coming in at a few points. I’d love to stick a box of these in the back of my cabinet and forget about them for a year or two. I’ll bet they really sing with a little age. ” -John I. (John I.)
