This cigar was reviewed blind (no bands) by a panel of at least 4 reviewers. They did not know what they were smoking beforehand. “Maestro Del Tiempo “Master Of Time” Is A Culmination Of The Years Of Blend Testing And Improvements For This Marca. Several Years And Scouring The Depths Of Aganorsa Through Their Vast Lineage Of Regions, Farms, And Lots To Make This Blend Happen. You Need To Master Time To Create The Ideal Cigar, And This Is Living Proof.” says Kyle Gellis.
The AGANORSA tobacco is a corojo 99 wrapper from Jalapa, with criollo 98 and corojo 99 fillers and a mixture of Nicaraguan tobaccos. Two regular production sizes are produced, 5205 (6 3/8 x 42) and 5712 (4 1/2 x 52).
For orders place at the July trade show itself, a special 6102R (5 1/4 x 48) vitola will be offered. It features a tweaked blend, including the addition of medio tiempo tobacco from Estelí, and is limited to 150 cabinets of 100 cigars.
Medio tiempo is a priming that is found on some plants above the ligero leaves. Because the leaves are the highest on the tobacco plant, they feature more strength and intensity than other leaves.
Regular production cigars will be offered in 25-count boxes and the Limited Edition comes in cabinets of 100. This cigar is made at Tabacos Valle de Jalapa S.A. (TABSA), the same Nicaraguan factory that produces Corto, Flor del Valle, Futuro and La Hacienda for Warped.

First Third
Flavor: 88
Strength: Medium

“Dry puff yielded a pleasant a sweet flavor with a bit of spice at the back of my tongue. The first third was a great introduction with a predominant tobacco flavor with hints of walnut and cedar. I enjoyed a more bold flavor right off the bat.” –Kent (Throck)
“A fair amount of spice provides a peppery savoriness making it difficult to detect much else initially. As the heat fades a nice yeast bread note reveals itself. This combination works well with the leather although the balance of flavors is a bit off.” –Gregg (McGreggor57)
Second Third
Flavor: 88
Strength: Medium
Body/Complexity: Medium
“I enjoyed the second third more than the prior section due to the backseat the intense tobacco flavor took to more subtle ones. The walnut flavor presented itself to the forefront and was intriguing.” –Kent (Throck)
“Bread notes have popped up in the 2nd which is a nice little surprise. Still plenty of nuts, cream and some spice as well, maybe it’s pepper…not sure.” –Mickey T. (irratebass)
Final Third
Flavor: 90
Strength: Medium
Body/Complexity: Medium
“Strength picked up with a the leather moving to the front with the sweetness/spice going to the background. Sweet cedar and spice on the retro.” –Zane G. (Zane)
“More spice returns to the retrohale. The char on the oak increases while the leather becomes drier and aged. There is a bit more fullness in the flavors.” –Gregg (McGreggor57)

Overall Body/Complexity: Medium
Experience Overall: 91
“I enjoyed this simple cigar. The onset was quite pungent with a powerful tobacco flavor but this mellowed out as the cigar continued to burn. I thought the walnut flavor that came out was a nice addition to profile.” –Kent (Throck)
“This cigar started out shaky for me at 1st with the blast of salt, and dryness in my mouth, but after a couple puffs it was fantastic. Lots of Cream, Nuts, some bread and bit of spice to round it all out.” –Mickey T. (irratebass)
“While this was a good cigar it did not wow me. Would have enjoyed the flavors a bit more if there had been some richness along with it. While I enjoyed the flavors at time the entire cigar kinda ran together flavor wise.” –Zane G. (Zane)
“Pre-light I thought this was the perfect cigar for a morning smoke. I stand by the voices in my head. While the pepper in the first and final third overshadowed the other notes a bit, I could still pull out some other flavors. The balance was a little off but I think enjoying it with a cup of coffee may add what the cigar was missing.” –Gregg (McGreggor57)
