This year Plasencia Cigars will bring a new line to IPCPR: Alma del Fuego. They did not release any new lines at least years show after releasing two the year before that: Alma del Campo and Plasencia Cosecha 146. This is the third in their Alma Series, of which they say there will eventually be a total of 5 lines.
“We are beyond grateful and excited for the opportunity to launch the third cigar of our already popular Alma Series collection at IPCPR, amongst our fellow cigar aficionados,” announced Nestor Plasencia, CEO of Plasencia Cigars. “Alma del Fuego is a manifestation of our ongoing commitment to offer top-quality cigars to both our retailers and consumers, and to continue building on our family’s over 150-year tobacco legacy.”
Alma del Fuego translates to “Soul of the Fire.” This is a nod to the volcanic soils of Ometepe Island in Nicaragua where most of the filler in the blend comes from. The cigar is a Nicaraguan puro with a sun-grown wrappers from Jalapa. It comes in three vitolas: Candente 5″ x 50 robusto, Flama, 6 ½” x 38 panatela, and Concepción 6″ x 54 toro. The Alma del Fuego is shipping mid-July. The cigars come in boxes of 10 that also doubles as an ashtray.
